What is a Sign and What is a Symptom

Signs: What Can You See

  • Is there redness?
  • Is there limited movement?
  • Is there any sounds with movement?
  • Is your gait normal or affected?

Symptoms: What You Feel

  • Kind, intensity and location of pain?
  • Do you feel pulling or tightness?
  • Does your knee give out or buckle?
  • Does your knee feel weak?
  • Do you have pain going down from the back to your leg?
  • Can you walk (put weight down) on the affected leg?
  • Can you fully straighten (extend) your knee?
  • Can you fully bend (flex) your knee?
  • Do you have pain in the muscle behind your thigh?
  • Do you have any back pain?
  • These are the questions to help define the diagnosis. These questions help identify the area or cause of damage.

Swelling

Swelling immediately or within the first 48 hours of trauma or injury often indicates a ligament or cartilage injury.

Swelling that appears gradually and there is no known trauma indicates possible infection or gout.

Water Cures: The Solution to Knee Pain

Our Grandparents Knew About Mixing Hydration and Eating!

It is amazing how so many things that are new to us were common knowledge in the past. One basic practice of the Water Cures protocol is to drink at least 30-45 minutes before and 2 1/2 hours after a meal. This is not a new thought however. Notice what a magazine from 1925 had to say...

"Drink plenty of water two hours after each meal; drink none just before eating; and a small quantity if any at meal time. Heal Your Headache It Worked For Me

Hi, my name is Sharon. The webmaster of this site is my nurse, my personal water coach and my husband.

As this site was first being built, I had a headache and as usual took an Ibuprofen. Impatient for it to start working, I decided to try the Water Cures. I took a pinch of salt and a glass of water.
