When it comes to the water cures history, if you ever heard of an athlete going for whirlpool therapy, then you were aware of one of the most basic water cures.
There are numerous forms of water therapies and dozens of ways water cures disease, illness and health conditions. They mostly originated in ancient history.
The therapeutic benefits of using water to heal dates back to ancient times. It was written about in the Bible, both literally and figuratively.
Hippocrates, the father of medicine, prescribed the use of spring water bathing for the treatment of illnesses.
The therapeutic benefits of water were recorded and used by the ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian peoples. Healing waters were part of the culture of ancient times.
In the 1700's, an English publication spoke of the use of certain springs, cold bathing. This was followed by another book on the use of hot and cold water treatments for fever and other types of illnesses.
By the early 1800's, both the medicinal and dietary use of water had become a popular movement. Water drinking was considered a remedy for numerous diseases.
The use of water in therapy to treat illness and disease progressed to thalassotherapy, hydropathy or now hydrotherapy.
The sea was held as curative and many people flocked to the oceans for the healing benefits of swimming and soaking in ocean water. Horse owners have likewise known of the healing benefits of having their horses run in the ocean.
At the same time, in the old West of the United States, the Ute tribes used the Yampah (translated Big Medicine) waters for healing. These waters are today known as the Glenwood Springs. To this day, thousands come to experience the benefits of both the hot springs and the mineral waters.
Whirlpool baths and tiny air bubbles that massage your body under water are all modern forms of water therapy. From sports professionals to you, these bathes are available to everyone.
In the modern water cures history, there is one person who has taken water to new levels of healing. The use of water in diet to treat disease in our time was rediscovered by Dr. Batmanghelidj. By adding unprocessed sea salt, dissolved in our mouth, it becomes easier for our bodies to allow the water to get in and out of all of our cells.
This is only a brief overview of the history of the water cures protocol.

It is amazing how so many things that are new to us were common knowledge in the past. One basic practice of the Water Cures protocol is to drink at least 30-45 minutes before and 2 1/2 hours after a meal. This is not a new thought however. Notice what a magazine from 1925 had to say...
"Drink plenty of water two hours after each meal; drink none just before eating; and a small quantity if any at meal time. Do not take a bath until two hours after eating a meal, nor closer than one hour before eating. Drink a full glass of water both before and after the bath." (Golden Age, Sept. 9, 1925, pp. 784-785)

Hi, my name is Sharon. The webmaster of this site is my nurse, my personal water coach and my husband.
As this site was first being built, I had a headache and as usual took an Ibuprofen. Impatient for it to start working, I decided to try the Water Cures. I took a pinch of salt and a glass of water. Then I took a second pinch of salt and another glass of water. My headache was gone in less than 5 minutes.
From my personal experience, it usually takes 30 to 45 minutes for Ibuprofen to work. Some have found it takes ibuprofen 24 minutes to start working.
Yet on the Water Cures protocol, my headache was gone in 5 minutes.
Its simple: give your body what it needs and your body will give you what you need, the ability to feel great.
Water Cures was the solution for the elimination of my headache. It is what I will use from now on.
Why not give it a try yourself.
